Too Fine to Resist!e
Shortly before the international bead shows
We saw an elegant actress on Oprah Winfrey
Wearing a pair of these self-same pearls
On her always glamorous ears.
Oh yeah! We thought we'd like some of that.
And then, a week later, among a flood of pearls
And pearl vendors, in one solitary spot,
There they were! Wow. We were so excited.
These coin pearls vary in size
Note the direction of the drill hole:
from 32x24 millimeter to 40x24 millimeter!
Sometimes larger. The color is a marvelous
Natural unbleached white, with cream and peach.
The nacre is deep, the lustre is phenomenal
And the variation on the ways you can use them
Is inspiring! Cluster them on the strand as they are,
And you have a wild, wild look.
Just clustering a few in front
Will give almost the same wild effect, as well.
Knot round pearls between, as shown;
Large round pearls work best for that.
And for once, here are pearls
That are very friendly to wire-wrapping!
In the photo, we are using
Artistic peach color coated sterling wire,
Probably about a 24 gauge.
Heck, just glue them to some earring studs.
From corner to corner.
That's a bit of genius.
